Need an emergency dentist?

Tuesday, 21st February, 2023

If you are experiencing dental pain, or have sustained an injury involving your mouth and teeth then you are probably searching for a dentist Meath who offers emergency dental appointments. Dental emergencies can happen at any time and can range from a severe toothache to a broken or knocked out tooth. Whether you're dealing with a minor or a major dental emergency, it's important to know what to do and who to call to get the care you need as soon as possible.

It is important to note that some dental emergencies warrant treatment at an accident and emergency department. If you are experiencing heavy bleeding which won’t stop, or significant injury which has caused your dental emergency, then this may be the most appropriate course of action for you to take.

What provision do you have for emergency appointments at Navan Dental?

Where your emergency is less severe, the first thing we would encourage you to do is get in touch with us at Navan Dental. It may be that you are unsure about whether you need to go to the hospital, or whether an ‘on the day’ dental appointment would be a sufficient option for you. We can help you to understand the level of care which you need by discussing your emergency over the phone. We are proud to offer on the day appointments for dental emergencies. We have appointments diarised and set apart for such emergencies. These appointments are popular so they do often fill up throughout the day. We always do our best to offer you an in-person appointment with your dentist Meath as soon as possible.

If you are faced with a wait before you can be seen by us, we can recommend ways to manage any pain at home over the phone. It may be that you are not in pain, but that it is important to avoid certain activities or foods until you have had a face-to-face consultation. In these circumstances we would also be pleased to offer you advice over the phone in the meantime. Please do ask us if you have any queries about how to manage your dental emergency at home.

What sort of information do I need to provide my dentist Meath with?

This is a question which is useful to be prepared for. Here at Navan Dental we are likely to ask you questions about your emergency. This may include details about the symptoms you are experiencing, such as pain or bleeding, as well as information about your medical and dental history and any medications you are currently taking.

Once you have been seen by our emergency dentist, it's important to follow their instructions for aftercare. This may include taking pain medication or antibiotics, avoiding certain foods or drinks, and scheduling follow-up appointments.

What else can I expect from Navan Dental?

We are pleased to accept medical card patients here at Navan Dental. We offer a range of treatments including general dentistry such as fillings and extractions as well as cosmetic dentistry treatments such as teeth whitening, braces and veneers. We also offer facial aesthetics treatments alongside this.
